What type of weather should we expect?

Yellowstone is well known for its unpredictable weather! Temperature changes of up to 60 degrees in the same day may be possible. Bring plenty of clothing layers! So prepare for everything even if your weather app is telling you that it will be 70 degrees for the day of your trip. In the early morning, it may be below 32 degrees before warming up towards 70. Best to be prepared and have it and not use it, than to need it and not have it!

What is provided and what should we bring?

We provide food, beverages, high quality spotting scopes, binoculars, field guides, and our extensive field expertise to provide you an excellent experience. We will discuss what type of food options you may be interested in before your trips and feel free to bring any food options you would like! Also we ask that you bring your own reusable water bottle and to have it filled before your tour to reduce the use of single use plastics. We will provide water bottles if you do not have a reusable bottle. It is also good to bring any of the following;

• ✓ Warm layers for cool morning temperatures

• ✓ Rain/wind-proof jacket

• ✓ Closed-toe footwear / hiking boots

• ✓ Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen

• ✓ Insect repellent in the summer months

• ✓ Your camera!

• ✓ Personal optics that you prefer

Will other people outside my party be joining?

No, all of our tours are for your private party whether it is just one person or up to 6 individuals.

Where does the tour begin?

We are located in Gardiner, Montana the North Entrance of Yellowstone. We can pick you up from the hotel or rental property that you are staying at or we will pick a mutual spot to meet prior to the day of your tour.
